Hello! My name is Mrs.Morris and I am so excited to be your art teacher. I graduated from Emporia State University in 2009 with a BSE in Art for PreK-12th grade and I earned my Master's degree in Art Education through the University of Nebraska at Kearney in 2016. After teaching for 6 years in the Auburn-Washburn school district, I was thrilled at the opportunity to start at Jackson Heights in 2015 where I teach a wider range of students and do it closer to home. I grew up in Holton and married my high school sweetheart in 2007. We now have three boys, a black lab named Boo, and a bunch of chickens! I am not just an art teacher, I am a working artist. I think it is important for me to practice what I preach. I can never pick just one kind of art to focus on. I create mostly two dimensional art- paintings, drawings, printmaking, photography, etc.- but I have also enjoyed the opportunity to work with clay recently. You can see some of my artwork here: http://jhartclass.blogspot.com/2015/08/mrsmorris.html |
