New Course Offering: Art Appreciation

Art Appreciation will be offered for the first time at Jackson Heights, available as a concurrent class through Highland Community College. Art Appreciation is a standard general education requirement for college degrees so it is worth considering if you plan to further your education after high school! Art Appreciation is different than other art courses because it involves more discussion... but don't worry, there will still be some hands-on activities to let you see what it's like to work with different materials.

Since school starts on Wednesday, this seems like a good time to remind everyone about the benefits* of WLMHI and taking Art Appreciation as a concurrent class. Check out this commercial last year's Computer Graphics class made to spread the word! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MBD3mW-qTls Talk to Mrs.Morris if you have any questions about the class. Talk to Mrs.Alley if you'd like to make any changes to your schedule! *Side effects may include essay writing, using your brain, learning and knowledge, often sharpened pencils, still complaining about art when not even doing art, researching, and communication.
